This November heralds seven years that The Energy Band has been blazing a thunderous trail across the stages of Barbados, throughout the region & beyond. Seven years, traveling to more than seven destinations including Jamaica, St. Lucia, Trinidad, USA, Canada, France and the U.K. Debuting on the scene back is 2004, now it is time for Strategy to showcase why seven years later they are still a force to be reckoned with in the music arena. Having released their latest album 'Fire and Thunder' this year for crop over 2011, the band will be celebrating by hosting a series of seven-themed impressive events. Headlining in two clubs - McBrides and The Reggae Lounge, sponsored by Banks Seven Strong lager, The Energy Band will offer the public seven opportunities to get a taste of their winning Strategy.
Talented and versatile, the seven members of the band and ambassadors for Barbados offer all genres of music under the sun. Seven strong years producing quality music which has seen them capture numerous awards including Barbados Music Awards for Music Video of the Year, two years consecutively, 2009 and 2010, as well as awards for songwriting in competitions such as the Barbados National HIV/AIDS Song Competition and in 2009, lead singer Kirk Brown won the Award of Excellence in Entertainment at the Barbados Tourism Awards.
The band traveled to perform at a number of gigs in the US including Sin City (Connecticut), Bajan Soca Splash (NYC), Club Taj (NYC) and then they returned to Barbados and were faced with the closure of the Ship Inn, where the band maintained a weekly performance on Thursday Nights for the past 5 years, they have since booked weekly gigs on Tuesdays at McBrides and Thursday Nights in the Reggae Lounge, both located in St. Lawrence Gap. They have also received bookings for the Virgin Holidays Music Festival for the 26th November 2011, for the Barbados Music Awards 2011 as the official backing band (Where Kirk is nominated for Reggae/Dancehall Artist Of The Year) on 18th December 2011, a Celebrity Wedding with E! Entertainment, Royal Westmoreland's New Years Eve VIP Party and other private events.

A Barbadian band with international appeal, Strategy is patriotic and celebrating their copper anniversary with The island. They will infuse their sets with songs paying tribute to their homeland in addition to performing their newest and biggest hits over the past seven years. Most recently, Strategy has produced some collaborations and remixes that have been gaining airplay not just locally or regionally but internationally and these will be performed within their repertoire - "Take Your Time" Kirk Brown feat.
